Why Attend?
You may be unaware of the codes and cues that govern many aspects of life for different groups in society. Families living on lower incomes are often in survival mode, where the future holds no promise and support systems taken for granted by others are non-existent. Bridges out of Poverty allows you to gain a different perspective on how we live and work in in community, and develop a greater understanding of how to build the bridges necessary for a thriving community.
During a Bridges Out of Poverty workshop you will:
Examine the impact of poverty on families and identify all causes of poverty.
Explore the hidden rules and unconscious bias of economic class.
Identify ways to improve and support thriving relationships that benefit community.
Develop new tools to better address individuals’ needs in removing barriers that are in place.
